Since Christmas 2011, my sister and her fiance have been asking me to begin a blog. This may be because they love my writing and want to hear ALL my thoughts, or more likely because it would reduce all the recipe emails I send on a weekly basis. Either way, I have obliged my family and decided to post my recipes and kitchen adventure in real time.
For those of you who do not know me, or have not had the pleasure of bumping into me at the grocery store, I am an avid cook. My mom would have loved for me to say I am a chef – but alas I did not follow her advice and enroll in culinary school after graduation. She just may have been right. Instead, I have decided to pursue an interactive, adventurous, and sometimes dangerous education at the prestige institute of Amy’s Pantry. The recipes may be simple or complex, Asian or French, fancy or rustic. But two things are for certain: (1) I will hurt myself (think oven burns, knife cuts, and even the occasional finger squashed in the fridge door) and (2) I will fill your stomach with good food and smiles.
